The Soul Chest can be found at Home, East of the bank. Each boss drops a soul specific to that boss.
Example: Shade will drop Shade Souls. At 200 souls, a key can be created by selecting combine on the item. You also receive Loyalty XP by combining the Souls
You can use the keys on the Soul Chest to recieve rare items or a Cash Box.
